This weeks savings
Can I just say that if you haven't signed up yet for Coupon $ense (or are planning to at my party :) ) then you really need to. Coming up in the next few months are great deals on everything! Definately a good time to work on your food storage. Anyway, if you read what i got, you might think "Why so much?" it's called stockpiling. That's the key - when something is a great price, you buy as much as you think you might need for the next 6 months or year. Then you might say "Where do you put all that food?" Luckily I have a linen closet that is built out with shelves (along with some kitchen cabinets) but I know many people who put it under their beds, on the floor of a closet, etc. you can build shelves pretty much anywhere! FYI: you can go to http://www.50dollarstockpile.blogspot.com/ and she tells you all the great deals for the week to stockpile on that don't require any coupons. Check it out!
So here's what I got today.
4 1/2 gallons of milk
2 bags of red seedless grapes
2 16oz containers of cottage cheese
11lbs of London broil (have the butcher grind it into very lean hamburger)
12 boxes of Mac N Cheese
24 pkgs of Ramen Noodles
6 huge chicken breast (one could feed me and Wes)
6 yellow onions
2 2lb bags of carrots
20 Sobe Life Water
4 cups of Fiber One Yogurt
4 cups of YoPlus yogurt
6 cups of yoplait yogurt
2 loaves of Orowheat bread
2 cans of El Paso Refried Beans
2 boxes of Betty Crocker Gushers
2 boxes of Betty Crocker Fruit Rollups
5 boxes of Betty Crocker fruit snacks
2 boxes of Fiber One bars
3 boxes of hamburger Helper
5 boxes of Nature Valley granola bars
2 rolls of Pillsbury grands Biscuits
2 rolls of Pillbury crescents
4 rolls of Pillsbury cinnamon rolls
4 boxes of Trix cereal
1 box of Cocoa Puffs cereal
7 Betty Crocker cookie mixes
2 boxes of Betty Crocker brownie mix
25 cans of Progresso soup
Total: $117.52
Saved: $245.36
That's 67.6%
I know that's not as awesome as the last few times but that's mostly due to the fact that I bought so much meat and produce. It's great to buy so much cause you can always freeze it.
"Freeze grapes?" you might ask - Yes! They taste really good that way especially in the summer.
